POSTPONED UNTIL FALL 2022
Dear Sammamish Community,
We have made the difficult decision to postpone the Red & Black Mixer scheduled for Saturday, June 4th until Fall 2022 due to the current Covid-19 surge.
We understand that this change may be a disappointment to you and are sincerely sorry. We feel it is in the best interest of the community to do our part to keep families and staff safe as we approach end-of-year activities. We especially do not want to jeopardize graduation festivities for our seniors who have already given up so much during this pandemic.
Funds to be raised at this event were intended to help pay for an additional part-time mental health counselor at school beginning this fall. We would still be grateful for your support of the "Red & Black Pass the Hat" in which we offer the opportunity to win the Wine and Chocolate Basket from the party. This basket features an assortment of delicious chocolates along with a 2019 Merlot from Leonetti Cellar, one of Washington State's most prestigious wineries. This exclusive bottle is valued at over $100 and was generously donated by Class of 2022 parents Susan Han and Gorman Wong.
Everyone who donates to our Red & Black "Pass the Hat" now through June 15 will be entered into a drawing to win this basket. Those who have already purchased tickets to the event can choose to either receive a full refund or count their ticket purchase as a donation. Look for an email directly from the PTSA treasurer and please respond with your preference. Additional donations will count as a second entry into the drawing.
Again, thank you for your understanding and support as we continue to navigate these challenging times. We look forward to celebrating our community this fall at the Red + Black!! Sincerely,
Sammamish High School PTSA Board and the Red & Black Event Committee
